With Support of UNICEF Libya and under the supervision and accreditation of the Libyan Mine Center (LIBMAC), Free Fields Foundation delivered Explosive Ordnance and Mine Risk Education training for (8) volunteers from civil society organizations in Mizda city.
The trainees received the basic concepts about MRE, how to act if they find mines and war remnants (ERW /UXO), how to identify the dangerous areas, warning signs, the most important safety messages and the basics of first aid and collecting casualty and accident data.
The trainees carried out the RE awareness campaigns and activities in schools, universities, habitation complexes and suburbs in their communities affected by the mines and war remnants
